- Awarded AACI Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute, (Certificate No. 2151) in February 1982, senior Canadian appraiser designation.
- Currently a member in good standing with the Appraisal Institute of Canada and have served on the executive of the Okanagan Chapter including the official capacity as chapter secretary/treasurer.
- Have served as a demonstration appraisal report 'grader' and CRA interview committee member for the AIC national office. Have acquired the necessary credits for qualification under the Appraisal Institute of Canada Recertification Program.
- Served on the AIC Certified Lecturer List during the late 1990's for "Real Estate Appraisal 1102" and "Building Construction 1106". Have lead both courses at Okanagan University/College under the Department of Continuing Education.
- Awarded RI(BC), Professional designation of the Real Estate Institute of British Columbia, (Certificate No. 2353) in September 1987, under the reciprocal agreement with the Appraisal Institute of Canada. Retired from this institute 2009.
- Awarded FRI, fellow from the Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC). Retired from this institute 2009.
- Have appeared as an expert witness before the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Tax Court of Canada. Have also appeared as a respondent on behalf of the Assessment Authority of British Columbia and as an appellant on behalf of private companies/individuals before the Courts of Revision and Assessment Appeal Boards.
- Have also served as a member on the Provincial Assessment Review Panel for the Kelowna Assessment Area.
- Employed by Central Mortgage and Housing Corporation (1969-1973), in Vancouver and Victoria, BC; now Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
- Six years employment with the British Columbia Assessment Authority (1974-1980) Penticton Area office, as a real property appraiser and have appeared before the Court of Revision and the Assessment Appeal Board as a respondent.
- Independent fee appraisal work beginning 1980 with Mountain Appraisals Ltd. of Penticton, served as an appraiser with Kent-MacPherson Appraisals of Kelowna (1984) and as a partner (1990/93).
- Currently President, Okanagan Appraisal Ltd. (1994) and President, Okanagan/Kootenay Property Services Inc. (previously Raffard Associates Realty Appraisers Inc. (1997).
